HEARTFAKERS were formed in March 2017 with a common aim, to perform the songs of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers as accurately as possible. All members have played together in various bands over the last 20 years, but we all have a passion for Tom's music. A couple of low key warm up gigs were performed to enthusiastic audiences, but then we heard of the tragic passing of Tom shortly after the 40th anniversary tour, The question was asked, should we carry on as a band, would it be disrespectful?
We decided, after much soul searching, that we would continue as a homage to Tom and his songwriting.
